Tullamore – This pretty town grew prosperous when the grand canal was built in 1798, which linked it to Dublin. Midleton – Head to Midleton to find the most famous of all the Irish whiskeys – Jameson. A beautiful place to visit with beautiful surrounding countryside too, the whiskey is just one of the attractions on offer here! This is also a very long-established distillery, it was set up by John Jameson, who moved to Ireland from Scotland in the 18th Century.

Connemara – The wild and beautiful area of Connemara is a great place to visit to enjoy the rural life in Ireland – with many ancient traditions and legends still going strong in this part of the country, it is a great place to escape and get away from it all. The Connemara whiskey is also a famous export of the region and is particularly special as it is one of very few Peated Single Malt whiskeys available today.
